My parents were having their 50th wedding anniversary and we wanted to do a Sarasota Yacht Charter for them. We live in Venice Florida and decided to do a yacht charter to Sarasota and Siesta Key so searched online and found Gulf Island Tours. Our journey began by being picked up in ther white super stretch limousine. Our parents were surprised but they also thought the limo was the surprise so we were all stoked at what we had in store for their special day. Less than a half hour later, we arrived at the yacht docked at Chadwick Cove marina in Englewood (on Manasota Key.) There we boarded the 'Reel Keel' a big 45 foot yacht and began our Sarasota Yacht Charter. Lemon Bay was amazing and we enjoyed seeing a variety of wildlife including seabirds, pods of dolphins and manatees! Soon, we went out in the Gulf through 'Stump Pass.' We rode about two hours up the sun coast, the four of us feeling like royalty. The Captain and first mate were both very down to earth people and they were also attentive to our needs. We had brought a wine and cheese basket and also some finger foods and were enjoying it up in the comfortable and very expansive flybridge of the yacht on the way to Siesta Key. The Gulf was unbelievably calm that day. Upon arrival at Siesta Key, we dropped the anchor and tendered to shore on the Reel Keel's motorized dinghy. We spent a few hours on Siesta Key's pristine beach, shelling and swimming then went back to the yacht to relax on the bow and catch some rays. We were soon cruising up towards Sarasota and stopped at a place called Marina Jacks in Venice which turned out to be a great stop for our Sarasota Yacht Charter. There, we enjoyed live entertainment and ordered some food from the Portside Patio. After we had our fill of delicious food, we began our cruise from Sarasota back to Manasota Key. We had a few more things to enjoy and that was the cake we had made for our folks and of course, a dramatic Florida sunset. The Sarasota Yacht Charter was perfect and was the memorable occasion we were hoping to give our parents on their special day!

Prom Planning 101
• Talk to your friends early. The demand for transportation during spring can be very overwhelming due to proms, graduations and weddings! Decide as early on who will be in your group and then book your reservations as early as possible to get the limousine you want. You also need to decide on a restaurant and make your reservations to get your restaurant of choice.
• Allow plenty of time for photos. You’re definitely going to want some memories of this special time in your life, so plan a prime location to meet with your friends for pre-prom photos. This helps to avoid wasting time that can be used for taking pictures and enjoying your time together. Remember to ask the driver to position the limousine to be in the background of your photos.
• Show up in style. Our Chrysler 300 Super Stretch limo has two DVD players so remember to bring along a concert DVD or your favorite music for the ride.
• Extend the night. There are usually after prom parties so keep this in mind when booking your limousine. We can also plan the ULTIMATE after party aboard our H2O Limo if going to the beach is on your agenda!

Nothing is more fun than an impromptu Sarasota yacht charter. We had been having cold fronts and lots of rain in Southwest Florida so last Saturday, when the skies cleared and the Gulf was nice and calm, we took our family along with a bunch of new friends from Sarasota out on our 45 foot Carver Voyager yacht, the "Reel Keel" for a full day tour. One really great thing about our Sarasota yacht charters is that we will pick you up in our super stretch limousine within a 60 mile radius of Englewood FL for free! Once our guests boarded, within minutes we were riding through Lemon Bay looking for wildlife in the mangroves which is always fun and exciting! Today, we spotted several Snowy Egrets, a Blue Heron, and several huge Pelicans. As we cruised through Lemon Bay, we also spotted several Bald Eagle nests perched high in the trees.
We anchored near Stump Pass Beach State Park to relax, catch a few rays, and do some fishing. After sitting there a few hours, a few people decided they wanted to take our motorized dinghy and go to shore so our dogs could play and run a bit. Dogs are not allowed at Stump Pass Beach State park but there are many other "unnamed islands" right around the area. The problem that day was we arrived at high tide so they didn't have many shallow beach areas close to where we had anchored the yacht. Undaunted, the father and young daughter went exploring in the lush mangroves around Lemon Bay until they found a spot the dogs could run and play.
Meanwhile, back on the yacht, the rest of our group was being entertained by a dolphin that was surfacing right behind the swim platform. Several in the group quickly pulled out their cameras and this particular dolphin seemed to be putting on a special performance much to our delight. On the bow of the yacht, several guys were trying their luck with their rods and reels....finally catching a Sheepshead. It was a slow and tranquil kind of a day with no one feeling much of a hurry to do anything in particular. In fact, one in our group felt like taking a afternoon nap so I showed her down to the master suite. That's the great thing about a yacht charter. You have all the comforts of home while out on the water and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Our guest awoke a few hours later very refreshed. Her daughter and husband were returning on the dinghy with the dogs after their private tour of the mangroves.
Sarasota Yacht charters can be a very relaxing experience for larger groups since people can basically do whatever they want. This day, some wanted to explore, one wanted to nap, others wanted to take pictures and get some sun, while others wanted to fish. Up in the flybridge, a few guys were having Bloody Mary's and chatting. Remember, we provide free limousine transfers on any of our full day Sarasota yacht charters in our Chrysler 300 Super Stretch within a 60 mile radius of Manasota Key so indulging in a few of your favorite adult beverages is never problem.
